Deep Tissue with Asian Influences
Candice graduated from the Port Townsend School of Massage in 2003. She began studying under Julie Keegan L.Ac. after graduating, learning about Asian bodywork techniques and energy meridians. In her private practice, she uses methods such as cupping, skin rolling, shiatsu, and reflexology (for ears, hands and feet) to enhance client's treatments. Candice has the ability to use a range of pressures from light to very deep, depending on a client's needs. She believes that her unique massage combination of strength, sensitivity, and respect for the body can beneficially shift deep tension and pain patterns within the body to create profound, long lasting change.
Sports Massage
Candice has been working with athletes (mostly triathletes, swimmers, cyclists, climbers, and runners) since 2008 to help them enhance their performance, recover from strenuous workouts/races and prevent injuries. Candice teaches sports massage at the Port Townsend School of Massage.
Candice's passion for sports began in High School when she competed on her school's cross country and track teams. The last two years she has been running in trail ultra marathons, notably finishing first in the Washington Ultra Series in 2010, second place in the WA ultra series in 2011, and completing her first 100 mile trail running race in August 2011. Candice graduated from the Port Townsend School of Massage in 2003.
